Il a épousé en premières noces le 5 novembre 1858 à Ranspach (68) Emilie GRUNEWALD (1834-1868). 4 enfants photographiés : 1. Emmanuel WELCKER, 2. Nannette WELCKER, 3. Emile WELCKER, 4. Cécile WELCKER.
Il a épousé en deuxièmes noces le 10 juillet 1869 à Ranspach (68) Philippine SCHMITT, née le 16 avril 1838 à Bouxwiller (68). Fille de François Antoine, journalier, et Anne Marie MEYER. Décédée en 1926. 6 enfants sont nés de cette union : 1. Marie WELCKER, 2. Aimé WELCKER, 3. Henriette WELCKER, 4. Alphonse WELCKER, 5. Alphonsine WELCKER, 6. Léon WELCKER.
